“It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.” - Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

What We’re Listening To

Insight Timer

What it is: Described as a grassroots community of “six million meditators, 3,000 teachers and the largest free library of guided meditations on earth”, this app has everything you need for daily meditation.

Why We Love It: It’s fast, simple, and has a guided meditation for almost everything in your life – including your commute. You can choose by popularity, benefits, practices, or origins.

Our Favorite Course: 10 Days to More Happiness at Work by Trish Tutton. It’s kind of a no brainer.

What We’re Reading

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Sum it Up: It’s best to describe this as a self help book without being a typical self help book. Read like a parable, it’ll cut you straight to the core and possibly change your life. The book follows the story of a young shepherd pursuing his dreams of journeying to Egypt.

Favorite Line: “And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

As a Bonus: It’s such a quick read, we finished it in two days just on our commute to work. Worth it.

What We’re Doing

Donating to Feeding America

Why: We’re giving back because we’re fortunate enough to have jobs that pay us for the work we do. The price of your lunch out ($20) can feed 200. The government shutdown has deeply affected food banks across America. Help these people out. Give what you can.
