What We’re Doing

Virtual Coffee Chats

What They Are: Each week, we reach out to one person in our network and have a virtual coffee date to catch up on the week’s affairs and chart a path for moving forward in the week.

Why They Work: Virtual chats are great because you can do them from anywhere in the world, and you can still GSD.

How We Do Them: The same time each week. That way you’re sure to never miss one.

What We’re Reading

The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

What It’s All About: A self-help book for someone that can’t get out of their own way, The Artist’s Way is about discovering your inner artist in any industry. Yes, everyone has one. No, you don’t have to be a painter or poet or musician to be an artist.

Why We Love It: Although cynics (us included) will mock it, you can’t knock it till you try it. It’s a workbook for self discovery, for a piece of you that you may have never known existed.

Favorite Activity: The Morning Pages. Every morning during the course of this book, you are to write 3 pages of stream of consciousness. Talk about a brain drain first thing. The Morning Pages clear your mind and ready you for the day.

People Who Love It: Elizabeth Gilbert. Martin Scorsese. Anne Lamott.

What We’re Eating

Seven Salads for Seven Days

Salad 1: Thanksgiving Salad. Ginger-Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Kale. Cranberries. Pecans. Parmesan.

Salad 4: Warm Caprese Salad. Cherry Tomatoes. Mozarella. Country Style Bread.

Salad 5: Fall Harvest Honeycrisp Apple and Kale Salad. Maple Syrup. Pepitas. Prosciutto. Pomegranate. Feta.
