How We’re Scheduling Our Doc Appointments

Zocdoc

No one enjoys scheduling doctor appointments, but Zocdoc makes it surprisingly easy. This week we scheduled our yearly physical, a dentist appointment, and a dermatology appointment – without having to speak to a single living soul over the phone or going through a long, drawn out automated system. Put your insurance information in, check the list of providers in your area, see their reviews, check out their calendar, and book online or on their mobile app. It’s so easy, we can’t believe no one else has thought of it.

If you’re a provider trying to generate business for your practice, this is absolutely the way to do it. And if you’re a busy worker trying to save time and squeeze your appointments into your lunch break – you have to give it a try.

How We’re Skipping the Line

GetHuman

On the subject of wasting way too much time scheduling, you’re probably also sick and tired of waiting over the phone to speak with customer service reps. GetHuman is a lifesaver. Go online, type in the company, and voila – it gives you the easiest, quickest way to talk to a human. Does this work for closing deals at the office? Maybe not. But does it work so you can get back to work and the things that actually matter? Absolutely.

How We’re Reading

For Fun!

Oftentimes we recommend books that are motivational, inspirational, and will all around make you better at your job. This week we tried something a little different – reading for enjoyment. What a concept.

This week’s pick? The Girl on the Train – an oldie but a goodie. Next up on our “to read” list? Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck. And we have a feeling this one will definitely make us better at our jobs. Stay tuned.
